Dr. Y. James Kang, PhD, is Professor and Chief Scientist at Tasly Institute of Life Rejuvenation, Tianjin, China, and Professor and Director of Regenerative Medicine Research Center at Sichuan University West China Medical College, Chengdu, China. He is also President and CEO of the Sichuan 3D Bio-printing Research and Technology Institute and Director of the Sichuan Regenerative Medicine Research and Technology Center. Dr. Kang served as Editor-in-Chief of Cardiovascular Toxicology and Regenerative Medicine Research, and the Editor of the Methods in Pharmacology and Toxicology series. He earned his Ph.D. from Iowa State University and completed postdoctoral training at Cornell University Medical Center. His research focuses on 3D bioprinting, cardiovascular regeneration, liver fibrosis, and primate models of human diseases. An elected Fellow of the Academy of Toxicological Sciences, Dr. Kang is also an entrepreneur and founder of Innolife Co., past-CEO of Revotek, advancing regenerative medicine technologies.
