Dr. Alberto Rivera is a board-certified physician specializing in Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation, and Pain Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine and completed his internship at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He then pursued a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Nassau County Medical Center in New York, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Rivera has dedicated his career to advancing regenerative and precision medicine, integrating genomic and epigenetic insights to enhance patient outcomes in pain management, inflammation, and chronic degenerative diseases. He is the founder of Promethium Medical, a precision medicine and longevity clinic serving patients in Florida and New York, combining functional medicine, hormone optimization, peptide therapy, and stem cell–based protocols. As one of the founding members of Cannaworks Puerto Rico, Dr. Rivera has been a pioneer in the clinical application of alternative and regenerative therapies, including Wharton’s Jelly–derived mesenchymal stem cells and nutritional-genomic interventions aimed at cellular recovery and metabolic optimization. His current research focuses on the genomic modulation of mast cell activation and oxidative stress pathways in degenerative joint disease. Dr. Rivera is a recognized international speaker and continues to lecture on regenerative medicine, genomic science, and interventional pain management, contributing to the global dialogue on innovative, science-based solutions for human longevity and recovery
