Hongfu Wu obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Sun Yat-sen University and now is an associate professor and doctor supervisor at the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Guangdong has been appointed as the Academic Director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center at Dongguan First Hospital Affiliated to Guangdong Medical University. He is known for his work in stem cell-based tissue damage repair, spanning basic to applied translational research. He has led three general National Natural Science Foundation of China-funded projects. His research has been published in Biomaterials, CNS Neuroscience & Therapeutics, Molecular Neurobiology, etc. His contributions were recognized in 2020 with the Innovative Dongguan Science and Technology Progress Award.Medical University, where he also mentors postdoctoral researchers and serves as Deputy Dean.
